Settled amongst the rolling South Shropshire countryside in the picturesque village of Clunton is the Crown Inn. A traditional village pub, The Crown has an excellent reputation for both its food and beers.
After our eighth flood, we are finally back open, we have a cosy, dry pub to enjoy the winter in.
Our second wine evening is fully booked for the end of November, Mark, our wine merchant, certainly makes it an evening to remember.
We have two burger nights in November as there is not one until Boxing Day! We couldn’t wait that long and neither should you. Every other Thursday is steadily turning into Fish and Chips night but they are available Friday and Saturday lunch times as well.
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
Like all of you, we have a busy time ahead of us. Two Burger Nights, our Festive Menu and Festive Party Menu, a set Pre Christmas Menu, a Curry Night, and a Hogmanay Set Menu. We have our Festive Menu now available, as with all our menus, booking is essential. Blaine has written several exciting menus but since he does all the preparation and service by himself, we do need advance bookings, this ensures less wastage and a happy Chef. If, sadly, we do not have any bookings, the kitchen will not open.
Our menus are available online or by phoning the pub.
We will be closing for our annual repairs from the 3rd of January to the 17th of January inclusive.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for all their support over what
continues to be a very trying time, it has been invaluable.
Happy Holidays to one and all!
Blaine and Michelle.

In the bar we have got the usual pub snacks and salami from Shropshire Salumi! The cask ales, Hobsons Best and Ludlow Gold, Stonehouse and Wye Valley have been proving popular, so come on in and say hello. Have a look at out At The Bar page for more information.
